Pocket Full of Miracles

Matthew Glynn has inspired me to start writing in my blog again. I like them for some reason, much more than that of a bluekaffee account.

It appears I haven't written in over a year. Much has happened, that's for sure. But that's also the same for everyone I guess.

So who am I right now? Mike Keough, age 17, president of the student council in my final year at Booth Memorial High School, St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada.

My current employment lies in EB Games on Kelsey Drive, and during the summer I also work with the Signal Hill Tattoo.

I've applied for University next September. At Memorial Univeristy of Newfoundland, under the faculty of science (biochemistry, to be more specifically)

alright that's enough of that. I think I'm gonna try and write weekly.

Gah, I was about to start ranting about my current life status, but I have to pick my sister up from work.

Till I see you again,
Mike

Fated

So here I am, Friday night (Saturday morning really) and I'm just basically tired and ranting.

The pope is in his last mere moments of life, and I personally am not as effected as the people that you see staring at their TV screens waiting for it to happen. However, I do find it a tad humorous that people have bets on what day they think it is going to happen.

Tonight was Meaney's birthday celebration, and I saw "The Incredibles" for the second time. I still think is it equally amazing as the first time. Frozone is the man.

I still really need to work out my money situation. A owe a good bit of money to my folks that is spread out here and there, and I would like to get all that paid back so I can be square even going back to school. And that get's me thinking, I'd personally love to be back to square even on school when it comes to everything. I'd like to catch up on my assignments, get a bit more organized, and have no conflicts going on for the big day back. From this term on I'm pushing everything I got into boosting the average. I figure if my lvl 3 courses are going to be as rough as some are making it out to be, I'd better be prepared. I'll look into that

My Angel is the Centerfold

Jeff just sent me this song, and I remember hearing it many times growing up, but never actually knowing what it was. So that rocks.

Today was a lot of poker. I placed third overall, which meant that I got my money back. It was a lot of fun.

Some people really bother me. Like people that hate people that are younger than them just for the simple fact that they are younger than them. They say they hate them because they are immature, but really, who are these morons fooling, that's a prime example of immaturity if I've even seen it.

My night is going generally well. Some thing's aren't going as well as planned, so I'll have to look into fixing that in the near future

Screw You Mechanical Error

So, I wake up this morning with the full intention of delivering my papers/flyers, then walking to Al's for a good clean afternoon of poker. However, I've just discovered that they still haven't been delivered to the house yet. The lady working the customer service told me that there was a mechanical problem at the plant, so nothing could be produced and everything is delayed. What this means in the long run is that my papers may not get here until 3:00 pm, which is annoying me. Oh well, I guess that is all I can do about that.

Early Thursday Rant

So today is officially Thursday, and now that I have the time to sit down and actually think about what I have/want to do today, there are a lot of setbacks that I haven't yet took into consideration. Some of those being:

-planning
-transportation
-money

Money is the biggest one here. The Easter holiday has really beat me out and just the mere thought of going around door to door to collect for the paper route in this stormy miserable weather could turn your stomach. however, if I plan on getting lucky tonight (with a friendly game of poker that is) I'm going to find some coin. So that is a definite on my list of things to do.

Tonight I looked up the most popular Canadian musical artists per letter of the alphabet. There were some there that I would never have guessed were Canadian. It's sort of a proud, nationalist feeling I guess. Oh well, I guess it's off to the land of sleep for me. It is definitly well needed, and I hope deserved.

Goodnight

Intro

Hello everyone. Tonight is my first offical entry. I have found a lot of internet blogs the past couple of days and found them really interesting. So I decided to start one myself. Of course, I know it is only basic and created with a basic blog generator program, but just the same, I can get my thoughts down, so that basically is my real purpose for doing so. That is just about it for now, stay tuned
